When three friends came together to form The Cheese Cave, their love for traditional cheese making and mission to educate consumers about cheese products became the very heart of their business venture. Founded by Jeff Jirik, Jeff Labeau, and Bob Foley, today, The Cheese Cave serves as the retail store for The Faribault Dairy Company, makers of the premium blue cheese Amablu.
Located in downtown Faribault, Minnesota, The Cheese Cave offers a chic and unique setting for visitors to enjoy gourmet tastings of wine, tea and beer pairings featuring over 40 premium cheese labels. The store also offers culinary demonstrations and gourmet events hosted by chef and co-owner Jeff Labeau, certified executive chef and recipient of the American Culinary Federation’s prestigious “Chef of the Year Award”.
Dedicated to the cheese industry for over 25 years, cheese-maker and Faribault Dairy co-founder/co-owner Jeff Jirik is nationally renown for his craft. His blue and gorgonzola cheeses – under the Amablu label – have won numerous awards in the United States and abroad and have been featured in Wine Spectator Magazine named among “100 Great Cheeses of 2008”.
Partner and co-founder Bob Foley brings over 24 years of executive experience to both factory and retail operations. Bob is focused on building The Cheese Cave and Faribault Dairy brands and expanding their market reach so that anyone throughout the country or worldwide can experience world-class cheeses and fine gourmet brands at the store or right at home via the internet.
